INNOVISION Technology's Micro-LED micro-display chip mass production line goes into production—ushering in a new era for micro-display technology

On March 19, 2025, INNOVISION Technology's Micro-LED micro-display chip Phase I mass production line officially went into production. This landmark moment marks a major breakthrough in the industrialization of INNOVISION Technology in the field of Micro-LED micro-displays, laying a solid foundation for its own development and injecting new vitality into the global micro-display industry.

A Look Back: From Technological Breakthrough to Mass Production


Since its establishment in 2021, INNOVISION Technology has been committed to the research and development and commercialization of Micro-LED micro-display chips. It independently developed VSP (Vertical Stacking Pixel) technology, successfully breaking through the technical bottleneck of the difficulty in miniaturizing traditional micro-display pixel size, and achieving significant improvements in performance and yield.


As a representative of next-generation display technology, Micro-LED has attracted much attention for its advantages of high brightness, low power consumption, and long lifespan. However, its complex production process and high cost have been urgent problems for the industry to solve. The VSP technology developed by INNOVISION Technology, based on its innovations in large-size epitaxial technology, homogeneous integration technology, and precise non-destructive substrate removal methods, significantly reduces production costs. At the same time, it has also achieved remarkable achievements in improving pixel density and performance.


In September 2023, INNOVISION Technology successfully completed the VSP process flow, achieving wafer-level integration of AlGaInP and GaN material systems and lighting up three-color stacked engineering samples. In April 2024, INNOVISION Technology successfully lit up the world's first XGA vertically stacked full-color Micro-LED micro-display chip. This chip is based on the WLVSP technology platform and integrates RGB three colors and a CMOS driver backplane, marking a major breakthrough for INNOVISION Technology in the field of Micro-LED technology. In August of the same year, INNOVISION Technology successfully launched a mass production-level single-chip full-color XGA Micro-LED chip, with a peak brightness exceeding 500,000 nits, further consolidating the company's leading position in the Micro-LED micro-display field.

The commissioning of the mass production line is a key step in the commercialization process of Micro-LED micro-display technology. In March 2024, INNOVISION Technology began construction of the mass production line for Micro-LED micro-display chips. Relying on its deep accumulation in chip technology and mass production, as well as the team's tireless efforts, it successfully put the line into production in March 2025, taking less than a year. With the further release of the mass production line's capacity, INNOVISION Technology will provide high-performance Micro-LED micro-display chips for AR/MR wearable devices, micro-projection systems, HUD (head-up displays), and digital headlights, and provide customized micro-display solutions for downstream customers.
